The Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA) extends its heartfelt
congratulations to Minister of Tourism, Patricia de Lille, on her appointment as the
Vice-Chair of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism)
Executive Council.

“This prestigious appointment is a testament not only to Minister de Lille’s exceptional
leadership and dedication to advancing sustainable tourism but also to South Africa’s
growing influence in shaping the global tourism agenda. Her commitment to fostering
collaboration and innovation within the industry will enhance South Africa’s voice on
the international stage, promoting inclusivity and growth across the global tourism
landscape,” said TBCSA Chair, Jerry Mabena.

The TBCSA remains committed to supporting Minister de Lille in this new role. We
will work alongside her to advance initiatives that strengthen South Africa’s tourism
sector, amplify its global standing, and foster partnerships that benefit the broader
African continent.
