BUSA SAYS PROPOSED ESKOM TARIFF INCREASE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE
In its latest communique to members, BUSA has announced that it has relocated its offices to 61 Katherine Street in Sandton. Other highlights from the communique include:

  • Eskom Tariff Application:
In the week, BUSA made written submissions to the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) and issued a media release ahead of the NERSA hearings on Eskom’s tariff increase application taking place on 16 November 2017. BUSA is concerned that the proposed 19.9% increase is not acceptable on a number of grounds including the immediate impact on the economy and consumers. BUSA is also concerned that the tariff will have a severe impact on inflation and employment, and should not be more than CPI.  Click here to read the media release titled ‘Eskom’s proposed tariff increase will add further strain to South Africa’s already struggling economy.’
  • BUSA to recruit a Parliamentary Manager:
BUSA has announced that it is commencing with the recruitment of a Parliamentary Manager to be based in Cape Town. We share this information with you upon BUSA’s request to distribute the below attached job profile to any potentially interested and experienced candidates.
