CEO at Professional Hunters’ Association of South Africa (PHASA)
Tharia Unwin is a founding member of the Association of Mozambique Hunting Safari Operators (AMOS) and has been actively involved in anti-poaching programmes in that country’s Niassa National Reserve for more than a decade. She obtained her professional hunting licence in the Free State province while serving as the marketing manager for one of Africa’s largest elephant hunting outfitters.
A former executive secretary of the Industrial Council for the Building Industry (Kroonstad) and a Mercedes Benz dealer principal, she also served as a Moqhaka municipal councillor for three consecutive terms. Tharia is also a TBCSA Board member.
