BUSA policy matters – an overview
- Following a session of the BUSA Tax Sub-Committee on 06 April 2017, BUSA submitted input to the Davis Tax Committee on Corporate Income Tax.
- BUSA submitted inputs on the Competition Commission’s Draft Guidelines on the Exchange of Information between Competitors under the amended Competition Act #89, 1998. This followed a business consultative conference held by the Competition Commission on 27 March 2017, where BUSA CEO provided the keynote address.
- Following an announcement by the Tax Ombud on 27 March that they would investigate complaints against SARS relating to alleged undue delay in the payment of refunds, members are encouraged to participate in the process in the form of surveys and engagements under the auspices of the Tax Ombud. We will keep members updated of developments in this regard.
